Services

Kendall offers full services for its residents.  For more information, contact the Village of Kendall office at 219 West Railroad Street or call 608-463-7124.

Water/Sewer

Billing is monthly.  Pay at Village Office, mail, at Ergo Bank in Kendall or at Bank night depository.  You can also pay your bill online.

Garbage

Needs to be in Kendall bags - Sold in bundles of 10 for $20.00/bundle.

  • Fireball Lanes

 

Pick-up is every Tuesday morning.

Recycling

1st & 3rd Wednesdays of the month.  In clear (not Kendall) bags, cardboard and paper.  Each bundled and tied or in boxes so that nothing can fly around.  Public Works comes around once for newspaper/cardboard and again for plastics/cans/glass which can be in one bag.  Plastics/cans/glass do not have to be separated.

There's an aluminum ONLY recycling cage at Zzip Stop.  Those aluminum cans are used for fundraising for the park.

 

Monthly Recycling Fee:

  • Residential (included on water bill - $5.00

  • Business (billed via monthly invoice - $10.00

  • Apartment buildings/multi-unit dwellings - per Unit (billed via monthly invoice) - $5.00

Excess Garbage

If you have excess for pickup such as a piece of furniture or a mattress, call Public Works at 608-463-7232.  They will pick it up and take it to the dump at an extra charge.

  • Tires (with rim) - $7.00

  • Tires (without rim) - $5.00

  • Furniture (small) - $15.00

  • Furniture (large) - $25.00

Special Garbage

If you have electronics, refrigerators, microwaves that you want Public Works to dispose of, you will need a sticker attached to the appliance for them to pick it up.  Contact the Public Works office when they come around for any questions if it's necessary in your case.

  • Microwaves/Misc. Electronics - $20.00

  • Appliances (containing refrigerant) - $20.00

Dumpster

The Village has smaller dumpsters that can be brought to your home.

  • Business (billed monthly) - $75.00

Labor Rates

  • $65.00 per hour

Hall Rental

  • Daily - $300.00

  • Each Additional Day - $50.00

  • Non-Profit - $100.00 - no extra set up fees or extra day fees

Picnic License

  • $20.00

Park Rental

  • $75.00

  • With building - $125.00

Lawns/Snow

Keep lawns mowed and walks shoveled, and all kept out of the street.

  • Tuesday & Friday 10:00am - 6:00pm

  • Thursday - 1:00pm - 6:00pm

Building Permits

Any permanent structural changes to the property, new buildings, remodeled with size changes, new siding, change in size of windows, fences, etc - Call the Village Office for info. Then contact the Building & Zoning Inspector.

Dog Licenses

  • Dogs have to be licensed.

  • Licensing is by March 31st, Village or County.  

  • Later than that date will result in a penalty and license can only be gotten from the County.  

  • Only 3 dogs per household.

Alternate Side Parking

  • December 1st to April 1st - there are NO PARKING areas as well (even side of Waffle Street has NO PARKING)

  • Watch the signs and notices, including no parking on the Main Street overnight during alternate side parking.
